A Day to be Proud

July 19, 2015

IMG-20150718-WA0009On Friday I gave myself a day off and went to Scarborough for a graduation ceremony from Hull University. It was to join the family celebrations when step-daughter Wendy received her BA. I don’t
suppose many of the graduates had two daughters cheering loudly in the audience who were both home from their own universities. Next year we will repeat the process in Sheffield, and the following year in Leeds, for the two granddaughters.

A wonderful day to be proud of.

Speaking of days off, it seems a long time before we can take our holiday. We’re going to our favourite Cretan village much later than normal this year, but I realised from the volume of coastal traffic yesterday that the school holidays are underway. That being the case, if you fancy a change from my crime thrillers as a holiday read, you could always try my alter ego William Gordon’s light-hearted romantic fiction, either paperback or digital. Ideal for the beach – so I’ve been told.
